Matthew has three teenage children who all attended Abbey School. He wants to see everyone in College ward benefit from the town’s growth without losing our sense of community. You’ll often see him on his bike around the ward.

Cllr Bryony Holroyd

Bryony has worked in the field of energy efficiency and fuel poverty. Now she divides her time between being a councillor, and caring for her mum. Her aims are to improve the town by making decisions that improve everyone’s health and opportunities for the future.

Thomas has been a Hummersknott community campaigner since 2019. He’s proud to be part of such a dynamic and forward thinking local party. He has seen the positive change that two Green Party councillors can bring to Darlington and wish to serve everyone in Hummersknott.

When Kate heard about the threatened cancellation of the No 16 bus, a vital lifeline for many residents, She joined with Green colleagues to listen to residents’ views. Following action and lobbying the No 16 bus service was saved.

Anna-Maria is a full-time unpaid carer and accomplished artist. She is a mother of six who has had a full and varied career. Her Art Studio is on Back Bowman Street, and her allotment is on Bensham Park. She is committed to speak up for you in council.

Cllr Richard Lawley

Richard grew up in Harrowgate Hill, and lives on North Road with his wife and two children. He works as a data analyst in the telecoms industry . He is passionate about making sure residents are properly represented in Darlington.
